Riley and I worked together in Salt Lake City at the camera store Pictureline. We worked on the same team and became friends very quickly. We bonded over silly work drama, our favorite types of candy, our love for cats, our hatred for structure, and ultimately when I quit, he quit. When he called me a few years later to tell me he was engaged I was so excited! When he told me he wanted me to photograph him and Kristie – I was even more excited! When he cried during his vows and hosted one of the best weddings I’d ever been to – I was ecstatic! More than just ecstatic, I was honored. Honored to have witnessed such a magical day and so grateful to capture a love like theirs. Riley and Kristie have an easy type of love. Their demeanor is calm, cool and collected. They wanted a morning wedding that was simple, intimate and charming. Family members made the decorations, the yummy cakes, the amazing artwork, the flowers, everything! Kristie walked down the aisle upon the backyard steps of Riley’s childhood home. They shared their vows in front of 50 close friends and family, followed by waffles and mimosas in the house. The crisp morning air, the beautiful mountains, the hand crafted details, the love, the energy, the families, the friends – Ugh, it was simply one of my all time favorite weddings. Enjoy!
